A function - Amrut Mahotsava was organised in Jamkhandi by the devotees/committee of prominent citizens of Jamkhandi headed by Smt Leelavatidevi Patwardhan, Ranisaheb of Jamkhandi State on 3rd July 1956 to celebrate 70th birthday of Rev Gurudeo. When Rev Gurudeo arrived in Jamkhandi on 2nd July 1956 to attend the function, the reception committee organised a Welcome function at this Temple. At that time, Rev Gurudeo had a splendid spiritual experience when camphor was lit in front of Rameshwar deity.
